Jasper has announced a leadership reshuffle effective 1st July 2021. Mark Campbell, previously Chief Investment Officer, will join Mark Hurley to co-lead the business. Kent Gardner, previously an independent director, will be appointed as Independent Chairperson.
Despite COVID, Jasper has experienced rapid growth since its launch into the market just 18 months ago. Assets under management now exceed NZ$150 million and are forecast to grow to nearly NZ$300 million by the end of this financial year. In addition, the business continues to innovate with its technology platform, providing investors with what Jasper describes as the world’s best commercial real estate investment experience.
Mark Campbell brings fifteen years of international commercial real estate experience to the new Co-CEO role. Prior to Jasper, Mark led a Pan-European commercial real estate joint venture between Blackstone and M7, overseeing over 1,000 assets across nine countries worth more than NZ$12 billion. Mark has also worked extensively at Goodman in both the UK and Europe, and NZ.
As Jasper's Co-founder, Mark Campbell has worked alongside Mark Hurley since the company's inception, leading Jasper's rapid growth in assets under management and forming some of the business's key capital partnerships. The Co-CEOs believe that continuing their partnership, which extends back to kindergarten over 30 years ago, puts Jasper in the best position to execute on its vision of becoming the world’s leading alternative asset investment platform.
Kent Gardner, Jasper’s new Chairperson, notes that “Mark Campbell has been a huge part of Jasper’s success to date; his Co-founder and Co-CEO, Mark Hurley, was a huge advocate for this appointment.
